Jar Bar NYC produces dairy-free breakfast and snack foods that are all naturally sweetened. Found by Chef Jenna Heller, our company’s goal is to provide more filling, healthy and delicious alternatives to standard morning foods, such as yogurts and cereal. We offer convenience and portability, recognizing that New Yorkers are always on the move. That’s why we are a completely delivery based operation -- you simply order products through our website and we deliver them straight to your door!
Our main products are parfaits, made with chia seeds and a base of nut-milk. Chia seeds have a massive amount of nutrients, antioxidants and omega 3 acids but most importantly they absorb 10x their size in liquid, helping people stay full longer.
Jar Bar NYC also has an important social mission, working in partnership with Fedcap's Food Arts Center by employing graduates of their culinary program. Fedcap helps people facing barriers -- those with physical, emotional and social disabilities, as well as other challenges -- find careers and independence. Fedcap was born in NYC in 1935, during the height of the Great Depression, when a chance meeting of three men with physical disabilities in Times Square led them to start their non-profit.
